Tuesday, police arrested a Texas man in connection to a woman’s body being found in Kentucky Lake.

Authorities say the body of 41-year-old Traci L. Jones, of Grandbury, Texas was found floating in a container in Kentucky Lake near Colson Hollow in Trigg County last Saturday night.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 60-year-old Jeffery Rogers of Arlington, Texas is now charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in connection to that discovery. TBI says Rogers rented a boat in Paris, Tennessee to dispose of Jones’ body in the Lake. His bond was set at $1 million, and he is awaiting extradition to Tennessee.

The investigation into Jones’ death continues.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky state police say a coroner has identified the body of a Texas woman whose body was found floating in a container in Kentucky Lake. The body of 41-year-old Traci L.
