Edmonton man arrested on several drug charges
EDMONTON, Ky. (WBKO) - An Edmonton man was arrested after police say they found him in a vehicle with drug paraphernalia.
On Tuesday night, the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist the Glasgow Police Department with a shooting investigation they were conducting. MCSO responded to Fred Ray Road to locate a possible suspect in the shooting. The deputy said when he arrived, he saw Tony E. Peek sitting in his vehicle at the address with drug paraphernalia lying in plain view.
MCSO said a search of Peek’s vehicle was conducted and additional items of drug paraphernalia, suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, and a loaded 9mm pistol were located concealed inside the passenger compartment. MCSO said Peek is currently a convicted felon.
Peek was placed under arrest and taken to the Barren County Jail charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Drug Unspecified), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle.
