Simpson County Schools vote to start all virtual for the upcoming school year starting August 26
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Simpson County School board met Friday afternoon to vote on their reopening plans for the upcoming school year.
During the meeting, Simpson County Superintendent Tim Schlosser addressed a variety of concerns citing student and staff safety and well being.
“Our staff want to be in-person, I want to be in person. I don’t think anyone in our district doesn’t want us to be in-person. The decision needs to be, ‘is it safe to do that’, said Schlosser.
“We have a chrome book for every student in this district. If you don’t have internet service, we will do everything in our power to get you internet service,” said Schlosser.
“I know some students don’t have Internet access — We are going to do everything we possibly can. We are going to be creating hotspots throughout the county,” said Schlosser.
