The JA Student of the Week is Emma
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -
The JA Student of the Week is Emma, a 6th grader at Natcher Elementary. The 6th grade Junior Achievement program is titled JA Economics for Success which gives students the information needed to build strong personal finances, a cornerstone to a happy, secure life. Students learn the importance of exploring career options based on their skills, interests, and values. They also learn about spending money within a budget; saving and investing wisely; and using credit cautiously. Emma wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Emma’s favorite part of JA was learning “how to take a hobby or interest you enjoy and work hard to make it a career.” She also said, “I love how I learned that there are a lot more options after high school and love the career you pick. I want to work in a veterinarian’s office while I am going to school to become a veterinarian.”
