BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Bowling Green Independent Schools is going back to their Purple and Gold hybrid schedule as of this morning at all schools.

This is the first time, they say, that students have been in the building in over 50 days.

As part of Governor Beshear’s recommendations, schools were encouraged to not resume in person learning until sometimes in January and Bowling Green City Schools elected to keep all grade levels virtual until this morning.

In the post, they also announced that faculty and staff will begin receiving the COVID-19 vaccine this week as part of Phase 1B of the state’s vaccine rollout plan.
