FRANKFORT, Ky. (WBKO) - On Wednesday, Gov. Andy Beshear gave the latest update on COVID-19 cases and vaccinations in Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear announced the state’s positivity rate had declined to 3.73%.

“While our new cases have decreased dramatically since their peak in the commonwealth, these numbers are still too high,” said Gov. Beshear. “We are close to the finish line but we can’t let up yet. Keep masking up, keep social distancing and get vaccinated when it’s your turn. Let’s see this through to the end of the fight.”

The governor reported 963 new cases of the virus and 27 deaths. To see a list of those reported lost to the virus Wednesday, click here.
