BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -It’s been five years since a Greenwood Gator has signed to played colligate golf, but Jaxon Moss ended that drought on Monday.

The Greenwood senior signed his letter of intent to play for Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee.

“It’s a big step for me. I can’t wait to go on this journey and continue my golf career,” Moss said. “It’s a very small campus and not a lot of people so it’ll keep me out of trouble. It’s more like a family-type community.”

Moss thanked his parents and coaches for their support and help in achieving his goal.

Also in attendance was Moss’s future coach, John Dochety. For him, it was Moss’s consistent improvement throughout his career that made him stand out.

“His attention to detail. His swing is just a natural athletic swing,” said Dochety. It’s something you can see and will be really easy to work with and not have to try and build too much into it. Just the natural characteristics.”
