Crocker Law Firm, WBKO host Food Truck Friday to support BRAWA
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - WBKO News and Crocker Law Firm teamed up Friday to host Food Truck Friday in an effort to support Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA).
“The food truck Fridays is a fun thing for the community. Food trucks have really blown up during the pandemic. It’s such a fun way to grab your lunch,” said Cyndi Crocker of Crocker Law Firm.
After heavy rain and flash flooding, BRAWA experienced extensive flooding in early May. Not only did the cats and dogs have to be evacuated, but the facility underwent damage.
“We’ve gone through some repairs, we’ve had to replace some floor areas,” Rhonda Trautman with BRAWA said. “So we’re still in the process of recovering from that, but the community’s been wonderful to step up and help us.”
Pelicans Snoball, BG Dawgs and She Sells Shrimp participated in the event and committed a portion of their proceeds to the animal shelter.
”This is really important work to take care of the animals in the community,” said Crocker. “So yeah, we’re just glad to support them. Barren County is part of the Southcentral Kentucky Community.”
Crocker Law Firm sponsored the event and says they’re excited to be back out in the community and helping worthy causes.
“Crocker Law Firm has done a lot of community events over the year. And last year, I just can’t tell you how much we just missed being a part of things,” said Crocker. “So this is one of the first and everybody’s just really happy to be out here. And hopefully, we raised a lot of money for the animal shelter.”
The next Friday Food Truck event will take place July 23.
