BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Last week, Crocker Law Firm and WBKO hosted ‘Food Truck Friday’ to raise money for the Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA). Along with monetary donations, the food trucks donated a portion of their revenue from the event to BRAWA.

“I thought it was a great cause. I really appreciated everybody who came out and bought lunch and donated,” Cyndi Crocker said. “We hope that the Barren County shelter feels the appreciation and support for all the hard work they do and for their mission.”

On Wednesday, Crocker Law Firm announced they would match the donations bringing the final total to more than $2,600. “We got donations from the food trucks, people dropped off money and people made donations online,” Crocker explained. “It raised about $1,300, which we have been in a position to match, so there’s $2,600 that was raised to support the shelter.”

Crocker also mentioned it is good to be able to get back into the community and give back after many events were canceled last year to COVID-19. Every Friday and Saturday Hot Rod’s home game, Crocker Law Firm will have a lemonade stand set up to benefit one of two local nonprofits.
