BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Wednesday morning, the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Alford Road in Brownsville where a male and female were seemingly passed out in a vehicle.

The two were identified as 39-year-old Phildon D. Wooden of Big Clifty and 38-year-old Katrina S. Holderman of Caneyville.

According to the sheriff’s office, drug paraphernalia, commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, was laying in plain view.

Wooden was asked to step out of the vehicle, at which point he began reaching inside his pockets.

A deputy said he told him to stop and frisked his pockets, feeling what he said he knew was a syringe.

The deputy asked Wooden if the syringe was capped and warned him that he would be charged with wanton endangerment if it was not; Wooden stated that it was capped.

According to the deputy, when he removed the syringe, he found it to be uncapped, with the end of the needle snapped off and the plunger still pulled back with residue in the syringe.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies said they found a bag of suspected methamphetamine, numerous forms of drug paraphernalia, and cash.

Once Holderman was placed under arrest, she asked the deputy if he could retrieve medication from her car, which was parked further up the driveway of the same location.

Inside, Holderman’s deputies said they saw additional drug paraphernalia laying in plain view, along with more cash.

Holderman was charged and arrested for:

· Drug Paraphernalia—Buy/Possess

· Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (> or = 2 GMS Methamphetamine)

Phildon was charged and arrested for:

· Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd or > (> or = 2GMS Methamphetamine)

· Drug Paraphernalia—Buy/Possess
