Man arrested on murder charge following shooting on Nashville Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Bowling Green Police have arrested one man following a shooting on the corner of Nashville Road and Emmett Avenue Tuesday night.

Kamonte Grissom, 19, was charged with murder along with first-degree robbery, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and tampering with physical evidence.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. and responding officers were told a collision occurred in the intersection as a vehicle was fleeing the scene.

Officers found Terrance Barton, 20, in the driver’s seat of a car. Barton was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses say they saw a man running from the scene.

After canvassing the area, police located Grissom and they say he matched the description given by witnesses at the scene.

Grissom was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. Bond and court dates have not yet been established.
