BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Are you ready for some spring fun?

The Bowling Green Hot Rods are just two days away from starting their new baseball season.

Brand new things have been added that provide an additional exciting aspect to this year’s new season. Some of those include brand new LED lights that will sync to stadium music, new concession items, and a Hiller Corner which features more comfortable seating and drink rails for fan enjoyment. Fans on twitter voted for a new unique snack item, which is now known as the Flaming Hot Cheeto hot dog. All of these new innovations will be available for the public to see starting this Friday at their first game.

In addition, the Hot Rods will host their very first postgame firework show in honor of the firs game. WBKO News spoke with Eric Leach, their chief operating officer and general manager for more details. “And then on Saturday we have princess and pirate night and Sunday’s a huge day. That’s BG strong. We’re going to recognize and say thank you to all those frontline workers who helped out during tornado relief, wear specialty jerseys and 100% of the proceeds are going to go to tornado relief funds,” he said.

Tickets for this weekend and other upcoming games are still available starting at $10 per ticket via their website.
