Leitchfield woman arrested for DUI with child in vehicle

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A Leitchfield woman is in jail following a traffic stop Thursday.
The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call concerning a silver Chevy Cruze driving erratically at the intersection of US 31-W and KY HWY 101 April 7, 2022 around 10:34 pm.
An deputy located the vehicle in the city limits of Brownsville and observed it cross the center line, exhibit hard braking and erratic driving.
A traffic stop was initiated at Bertie’s Ice Cream. The driver of the vehicle, Sarah T. Harrison, 26, of Leitchfield, had a five-year-old juvenile was in the backseat of the vehicle.
Harrison was exhibiting signs of intoxication and after SFSTs were performed, the deputy relayed to Harrison that she was under arrest, at which point she resisted and had to be forcefully assisted to the ground.
Harrison was placed in handcuffs with no further incident and charged with:
· Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Substance (1st)
· Wanton Endangerment (1st)
· Resisting Arrest
· Careless Driving
Harrison is in Hart County Jail.
