UPDATE: Death investigation underway in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate a 2010 gray Volkswagen SUV deputies believe could help them find people who may have additional information in a death investigation that began Friday afternoon Sept. 9, 2022. The vehicle may or may not still have a temporary tag on it. (See pictures below.)

If you see the vehicle, immediately call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 270-842-1633, or contact your local law enforcement and provide the vehicle’s location and or direction of travel. Deputies stress that you use caution and DO NOT approach the SUV.

This case began after a worker with Payton Landing Apartments off Scottsville Road was doing a welfare check on a specific apartment, noticed ‘something suspicious’ inside, and called the sheriff’s department.

After a search warrant was approved, deputies went inside and confirmed someone was deceased. Then the Warren County Coroner was notified

Officials are not releasing the identity of the victim at this time. Anyone with information should contact authorities.
