Meteorologist
Jonathan Blake

I am so excited to be in Kentucky and forecasting for you. I was born in New Jersey, and grew up in South Central Pennsylvania. Ask me anything about Hershey or Lancaster County and ill tell you how amazing it is to come from there. My expertise from Pennsylvania is winter weather.

I graduated with an Associates in Arts at Eastern Florida State College, then I transferred to Florida International University in sunny Miami, Florida to pursue my bachelors. I have done a few internships with the National Weather Service, NASA, and broadcast meteorology at WPBF in West Palm Beach, Florida. From those internships, I learned how to forecast hurricanes using microwave satellites, and how to forecast for pop-up thunderstorms.

Lastly, I participated in a forecasting course in Barbados learning how to forecast tropical meteorology, and aeronautical meteorology.

I really do love meteorology. so much so that if there is a severe weather event, you may see me chase the storm. Unfortunately I never seen a tornado. I had this excitement for weather since I was 3 years old and there is a video of me analyzing snow during the 1994 blizzard at which I was 6 years old.

Outside of meteorology I listen to a lot of music but my favorite is 80's, 90's, and trance music. I also love traveling and seeing the amazing wonders of this world. I cant wait to travel this state and see the amazing things many people have told me about. I have a fascination with technology, like building computers to getting the latest smartphones. Ask me anything about technology and if I don't know about it, I'm usually really interested in seeing and trying it.
