Lauren is an Emmy nominated reporter who has been in Bowling Green since attending Western Kentucky University, where she majored in Mass Communication.
Lauren began her career at WBKO as a producer. She now serves as the 5:00 anchor and assignment manager. She enjoys being out in the community and seeing what stories affect the people of south central Kentucky.
She was nominated for a regional Emmy award in 2014 in the Children, Youth, and Teens category for a special report on the iGeneration which looked at how teens are using more technology and what their parents need to know about the ever-constant changes in technology. She’s also won a number of Associated Press awards over the years for political interviews and has interviewed First Lady Michelle Obama, Secretary Elaine Chao, Oliver North, and former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. Lauren was also nominated for the Woman of Achievement Award from the Bowling Green Human Rights Commission in 2018.
Lauren works closely with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on the annual Dream Home Giveaway. Helping to raise money for the hospital and the children receiving treatment has become a passion for Lauren. She has also served on the board of directors for March of Dimes and Court Appointed Special Advocates.
