Kelly Dean is back in the Bluegrass as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WBKO.
She joins us from WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tenn., where she worked as their 'Alert Desk' reporter.
She worked at WBKO before going to Nashville and is thrilled to be back home. She has covered a variety of stories ranging from statewide elections to extreme weather coverage from the field. She received a Kentucky Associated Press award for second place as “Best Reporter” for her work in 2017.
A northern Illinois native (Go Cubs!), Kelly ventured down to Nashville for college at Lipscomb University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
When she’s not working, she enjoys running. Kelly has run eight half marathons and completed the Chicago Marathon in 2018 alongside her three other sisters.
She also enjoys spending time with her cat-dog, Theo running around on the farm when he’s not cooped up in the big city.
