BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Two stalwarts of our area business community were honored for their years of service Tuesday.

Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky inducted Dan Davis, owner of Rafferty's, Inc. and Gary Broady, CEO of Franklin Bank and Trust, into their Hall of Fame Tuesday morning.

Davis tells us why Junior Achievement is such an important educational tool for children. "Cuz it teaches kids financial literacy, said Dan, "and the connection between education and success in business."

Nearly 10,000 students in six area counties took part in JA classes last year. In addition to their business accomplishments both Broady and Davis dedicate their time and resources to numerous area non-profit organizations.
