3 Ohio County teens jailed on drug charges
Detectives of the Ohio County Sheriff's Office had been receiving complaints about a Beaver Dam resident who was allegedly selling methamphetamine and marijuana. Those complaints were acted upon on the night of December 4, when an OCSO Narcotics Detective obtained enough probable cause to pay a visit to his home in the 800 block of Horton Spur in Beaver Dam.
Members of the OCSO and Kentucky State Police made contact with the homeowner and received permission to search the house. Officers made contact with four (4) individuals who were inside a bedroom of the home. Officers saw drug paraphernalia lying in plain view and seized those items immediately.
A further search revealed evidence of crystal meth trafficking and the trafficking of marijuana. Officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, cash, scales, baggies, twist ties, and various items used to consume these drugs.
Three people were taken into custody without incident. They were identified as Tyler Sharp, 18, of the 800 block of Horton Spur, Sawyer Everly, 18 of the same address, and Travis Lamb, 19 of the 1300 block of Grave Road in Centertown. The fourth individual was released without being charged.
All three (3) individuals were charged with one (1) count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), one (1) count of Trafficking in Marijuana Less Than 8 oz., one (1) count of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), and one (1) count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
