A 10th Grade Class at Greenwood High School

The JA Classroom of the Week is a 10th grade class at Greenwood High School. The class was led by JA Volunteer Sarah Nuse who is the Owner of Tippi Toes Dance Company. Their Junior Achievement program is titled “JA Launch Lesson” and it focuses on bringing community entrepreneurs into the classroom to teach students about starting a business and how to navigate their entrepreneurial journey. Sarah’s favorite part of volunteering for JA is working with the kids and using her real life situations to connect with them. She also said, “JA makes it so easy to walk in a class and teach kids you don’t know. I love the lesson plans, the packages, and the hands on activities. I love the JA office, because they make us feel important and special when really getting to teach is a gift to us. I love seeing the bright futures being formed in South Central Kentucky. If you have the opportunity to teach JA and live in the community I highly recommend it. The investment is incredible and the opportunity amazing!”
