Officers say they responded to five guns shoplifted from Dunham's Sports Saturday afternoon. Police say he dropped a couple of guns as he was leaving the store.

A K-9 unit tracked the thief to a point; but the tracks stopped. "We don't know exactly where he went after that," said Bowling Green Police Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward. "We just know the tracks stopped there. We didn't have any witnesses in that particular part to say he got in a vehicle or got in an apartment."

Police say the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is offering a $4,000 reward for the arrest of the thief. Anyone with any information on this gun theft, is asked to call either Bowling Green Police at 270-393-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 270-781-CLUE.
