Florence Henderson, the actress best known for her role as Carol Brady, the mother of "The Brady Bunch" has died.

She was 82 years old.

Henderson was in Los Angeles with friends and family when she passed away due to heart failure.

Henderson had been hosting a talk show and a cooking show even in her old age. She got her start as a singer, soon moving into acting.

She starred in musicals and then made her move to television.

Henderson got her big break in 1969 when she was cast as the mother of the Brady Bunch, which aired for five years til 1974.

However, plenty of spin-off series kept her character and the Brady Bunch alive all the way into the early 1990's.
