BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The American Black Hereford Association is moving its headquarters to Bowling Green.
The move is made possible thanks to a Kentucky agriculture development fund grant. The grant will enable the ABHA to introduce Kentucky beef producers to the Black Hereford breed while introducing Black Hereford producers to the state of Kentucky.
"It's also going to help Kentucky producers and producers all across the United States expand the breed and grow it and ultimately try to bring more to those producers' pockets so they can invest back in their farm operations again," said Brian Chism.
Chism also says he believes the relocation to Bowling Green will help advance Kentucky agriculture while putting Kentucky cattle on the map.
The ABHA is the first national cattle association to have its headquarters in Kentucky.
