Angela Alexander Townsend inducted into the Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame
A former Bowling Green teacher is inducted into the 2016 class of the Governor Louie B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame in Frankfort. Townsend was one of three chosen by a statewide selection committee.
Angela Alexander Townsend is a native of Bowling Green and began teaching at Bowling Green High School in 1966. She also taught at Bowling Green Junior High, Warren Central High, and Greenwood High before retiring in 2009.
Townsend's awards include being named a Kentucky Distinguished Educator and being named a Kentucky Colonel.
The Governor Louie B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame is housed at Western Kentucky University.
