We'll get a quick timeout from the high heat and humidity for your Thursday. Higher dew points have been pushed south of the viewing area setting us up for a sunny day with less humid conditions and highs in the upper 80s. Friday, muggy air returns with temperatures in the mid to lower 90's. Temperatures will climb into the mid 90's this weekend with afternoon heat index readings around 100° before a decent shot of showers and thunderstorms pass the region Monday through Wednesday as another cold front makes its way through.
