Woman found dead in the backseat of a car in Muhlenberg County has been identified

UPDATE 12-28-15 - Kentucky State Police say the woman found dead in the backseat of a car has been identified as Jackilyn Littlefield, 22, of Central City

An autopsy was conducted at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville. Preliminary results are inconclusive and toxicology results are pending.

Kentucky State Police say On Sunday, December 27, 2015 they were notified by the Greenville Police Department that a man had come to the department to report that there was an unresponsive woman in the backseat of the car he was driving.

EMS responded to the scene and Littlefield was pronounced dead.


The Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of an unidentified woman.

On Sunday at 2:29 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville, was notified by the Greenville Police Department, that a body of an unidentified female had been discovered in the rear seat of a vehicle.

On KSP arrival, Troopers found the body of a female in the rear seat area of a vehicle. The female was pronounced dead at the scene by Muhlenberg County Deputy Coroner.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.
