Police are looking for a suspect after they say the downtown BB&T bank at 443 Park Row was robbed Monday morning.

A suspect was described as being a black man with a camo jacket and knit hat. Police say the man left on foot and officers and detectives are literally walking the streets looking for him.

Police say the robber told employees at BB&T that he had a gun and a detonator, but he never showed any weapon(s).

According to Bowling Green Police Officer Ronnie Ward, "We've not been able to determine if any of that (the suspect having a gun) was true. At this point we know that he didn't leave anything inside the bank and he had not been inside the bank earlier in the morning."

Police say one customer had just left and there were no other customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.

"No one was injured," said Ward.

BGPD is working the scene and we will update as more details become available.
