UPDATE: Police identify shooting victim in Bowling Green
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Chelton Lindsey. Police say he has been taken to the hospital for a single gunshot wound to his leg.
Officer Ronnie Ward spoke with 13 News on the incident.
"At this point in time we do not believe there is a danger to the public, we believe this is a contained incident we had previous reports that a person in a vehicle had fired a weapon at the victim but we now know that, that is not factual. Police say there is no definite description of a possible suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to call BGPD at 270-393-4000.
Bowling Green Police say they're investigating a shooting on 1204 Vine Street that was reported to police at 3:48 p.m. Friday.
Police say a man has a single gunshot wound to his leg.
