FOR 20TH DISTRICT HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
On January 19, 2018, Ashlea Shepherd Porter formally announced that she will run as a Democratic candidate for the State House of Representatives in the 20th District. She travelled to Frankfort today to
officially file her Notification and Declaration of Candidacy.
Ashlea believes that each Bowling Green resident is vital to our city’s continued growth and development. She emphasizes that without every person’s dedication to their own dreams, the community as a whole cannot achieve theirs. support of our local businesses and workforce. Ashlea is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky College of Law. She is a partner at Crain | Schuette Attorneys where she focuses in the area of family law, mediation and civil litigation.
Ashlea stated, “I have devoted the past nine years to speaking for the children and families of our community in the courtroom, and I believe now is the time for me to speak for every resident of Bowling Green
in Frankfort. Each citizen needs to have their voice heard by our government, but they all have businesses to run, patients to see, people to protect, and customers to feed. Their part of our Bowling Green dream needs them here. Send me. I will listen to your needs, and I will go speak for you in Frankfort.”
In 2017, Ashlea was named CASA Guardian ad Litem of the year for her dedication to representing children in Dependency, Neglect and Abuse Actions in South Central Kentucky.
