BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green Police were called to the Medical Center E-R Monday January 7, for a five-month-old baby. They say the child had a visible bruise above her left eye, and her right arm was loosely hanging at her side.
After speaking to the parents, police say the father, Christopher Dale Alvey, told them that when the child was crying early Monday morning, he pulled her out of her crib by her right arm, and heard a loud "pop."
Police say he told them the baby hit her head on his collarbone when he pulled her toward him. Alvey is in the Warren County Regional Jail charged with 4th degree assault.
The child was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital.
