Bowling Green's City Commission holds first meeting of 2018

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Bowling Green City Commission met for the first time in 2018 on Tuesday.

In a 4-to-1 vote, they officially voted to lift the ban of conceal carrying in city buildings. Commissioner Slim Nash was the only "no" vote.

The City Commission also passed the first reading of a new ordinance on panhandling.

City manager, Kevin Defebbo, announced he will retire after 12 years on the job. March 1, 2018 will be his last day at City Hall.
