Cameron Buckner sentenced after pleading guilty to assault 2nd
A Bowling Green man is sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting another man in the head.
According to the Warren County Commonwealth's attorney, Cameron Buckner was sentenced on the second degree assault charge after pleading guilty in May. His original charges were for first degree assault and wanton endangerment.
Buckner pleaded guilty to shooting Mason South in the head in Kereiakes Park on August 9, 2016. A witness said Buckner and South began fighting over whether Bowling Green or South Warren had the better football team. Police believe that fight led to the shooting.
