BOWLING GREEN, KY. (WBKO) --- Just minutes after returning home, a Bowling Green man's car burst into flames late Saturday afternoon off Browning Road.
The car caught on fire just a few feet from a house.
Three local fire departments responded, but no one was injured.
"All of a sudden we hear the dad yell 'Get out of the house, get out of the house,'" said Kenneth Johnson, who lives in the home with his father-in-law.
"We go outside and the whole car is on fire, so he runs over to the neighbor's house and says 'Call 911,' and you're just hearing explosions and popping and I mean smoke, fire everywhere," he said.
The cause of the fire is unknown. The car was totally destroyed.
Officials believe it was an electrical issue inside the vehicle.
