BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet helped treat roads Tuesday morning and into the afternoon as South Central Kentucky saw some of the first winter weather of the season.
"We had some crews out in some counties in our district out paroling looking for some icy spots, if they came across any they would certainly put down some salt," KYTC's Wes Watt said.
There were several areas in the region that had to be salted by road crews.
Though the weather was not extreme, it's still important to be cautious.
"Just go slow and don't be making any wild maneuvers or anything like that," Watt said. "There is a possibility that there could be some icy conditions later on tonight and into early tomorrow morning."
Watt says KYTC has teams on call and ready to go if conditions get bad enough on Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning.
