BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on the evening of July 11 outside a Bowling Green apartment complex. Police say 27-year-old Nevander Tardy was shot to death in the 2100 block of Rock Creek.
They believe a fight had broken out in the area prior to shots being fired.
A neighbor said he heard about five or six shots, thinking initially it was fireworks that had gone off.
Other neighbors say they saw Tardy's body lying in the middle of the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe this was a targeted attack, and the neighborhood is not in danger.
