BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green Police say on Tuesday, August 14, they were called to a tire store on Lovers Lane where employees said a man stole over $3,000 worth of tires.

Workers told police a man called their store, saying he was employed by a local car dealer and ordered the tires. Later in the day he picked up the tires.

Through investigation, it was discovered the man made the phone call from the dealership, then drove to the tire store and picked up the tires.

The man is described as a heavy-set white male about 50 years old. He was wearing blue jeans and a neon yellow t-shirt, sunglasses, and a black and white cap.

In the surveillance photos, he is driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado Z71 pickup. Police need to question the man in the photos.
