Ky. (WBKO) -- Community Action of Southern Kentucky will start the "crisis" portion of their Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program next week.

The program, called LIHEAP, helps homes that are in a home heating crisis. Last year, nearly 1,800 households in Warren County received financial assistance and emergency services from the program.

To apply for the program, you can go to the Community Action location nearest to your home.

The program is on a first-come, first-served basis and starts Jan. 7. For more information on if you qualify, you can go to their website.
