UPDATE: Police release cause of death in Glasgow case

UPDATE - The Glasgow Police Department has confirmed the preliminary cause of death to be hypothermia.

Toxicology results are still pending.


UPDATE - According to Glasgow Police Department, Kelly Sawyer, 42, of Glasgow has been identified as the woman who was found.

"At 6:40 this morning, a passer-by called the police department -- police dispatch -- to advise that they had spotted a body of a white female laying in the parking lot of Elmore Realtor on Oil City Road," says Lt. Jimmy Phelps with the Glasgow Police Department.

"Our officers arrived, at that time they discovered, the body of, who is now identified as 42-year-old Kelly Sawyer of Glasgow. The investigation is ongoing. Foul play is suspected," he adds.

More information will be released as soon as it becomes available.


On Thursday, December 28 at approximately 6:40 AM, Glasgow Police responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the parking lot of Elmore Realty.

A passerby observed the body and contacted police. When officers arrived they discovered a white female mid to late 40’s deceased and lying in the parking lot.

Foul play is suspected and the investigation is ongoing.
