Employee of the city of Scottsville killed after being hit by a SUV

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - One person is killed after being hit by a SUV in Scottsville.

Kentucky State Police say Kenny Manion, 58, of Scottsville was driving a SUV on Locust Street when he approached a waste collection vehicle owned by the city.

The waste collection vehicle was stopped in the road with its caution lights activated. Police say a witness told them Jeffrey Anderson, 38, was behind the waste collection vehicle when Manion’s SUV failed to stop, hitting Anderson and the waste collection vehicle.

Anderson was taken to the Scottsville Medical Center. where he died from his injuries. Police say Anderson was an employee of the city of Scottsville who was working when the crash happened.

Police say there were no other injuries reported and no criminal charges have been filed.
