BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) --- The first-ever Downtown District Dining Week kicked off in Bowling Green Monday.
Several restaurants are offering a fixed-price menu to promote eating local.
"You're gonna pick three different things, usually it's a soup or salad, then a main entree, and a dessert for one price, and everyone is charging the same price: $27.00," said Dale Augenstein, owner of Steamer Southern Seafood Kitchen.
There are also other restaurants participating that do not have full-service but will be offering special menu items.
"The whole idea is to kinda let people know we're here, and it's not all about the chain restaurants," said Brandon Thomas, General Manager of 440 Main.
The restaurants hope to do another dining week in the fall.
