BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green City Commission held a second reading of the ordinance to rezone a tract of land for food trucks on Tuesday.

The ordinance passed with a vote of 3-0, one commissioner, Dana Beasley Brown recused herself from the vote.

Mayor Bruce Wilkerson was not present at the time of the vote.

City Commissioner, Slim Nash spoke on what happens next.

"The developers of that piece of property in this concept could start as soon as the item is published which is a legal term and generally happens on the Friday if not sooner following the meetings and so you could start seeing development on that property right away there's also no obligation on the part of that developer to begin at any particular time. Regardless the zoning of the property that we did tonight would remain."

The next city commission meeting is March 19.
