GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) -- A mother and father are behind bars after police discovered they were using a cattle prod to discipline their four children, who ranged from ages 1-12.
Police say an investigation began in early August after social services learned of the form of punishment at a house on East Front Street in Glasgow.
Both parents, Errol Jr. and Cheyenne Couch, confessed to using the cattle prod as a disciplinary action and turned themselves in following a grand jury indictment last week.
The Couch's each face the following charges:
Criminal Abuse First Degree-Child 12 or Under
Tampering With Physical Evidence
A class C felony of child abuse is punishable by up to 10 years. Their bond has been set at $7,500.
Authorities say the children are living together in a safe home at this time.
