Glasgow teen accused of driving high, causing injury accident

GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) -- On Wednesday afternoon just before 2:30 p.m., the Barren County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident on Old Bowling Green Road.

Officials say 18-year-old Warren Hoffman lost control of his car, causing a one vehicle accident. A passenger, 19-year-old Kaitlyn Gentry was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital for treatment of her injuries she sustained during the accident.

Hoffman was treated for minor injuries at TJ Samson.

During the investigation, officials say they located marijuana on the scene, both inside and outside the car. According to deputies, Hoffman had been smoking marijuana before driving his car.

Hoffman was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of ALC/Drugs Aggravated Circumstance 1st Offense, and Possession of Marijuana. He was put in the Barren County Jail.
