Gov. Bevin to honor veterans at Vietnam Veterans Day

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WBKO) -- For Vietnam Veterans Day, Governor Matt Bevin will honor veterans at the 50th anniversary commemoration event.

According to a press release from Governor Bevin's office, he will be at the State Capitol Rotunda at 1 p.m. EST. for a special ceremony.

The afternoon is scheduled to honor Kentucky's Vietnam War veterans and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the action of the Kentucky National Guard's 2d Batallion, 138th Field Artillery units.

Those alongside of Gov. Bevin will include:

BG Thomas R. Ice (USA, Ret.)
Jack Mattingly - President, KY Vietnam Veterans of America
Yung Ngyuen - President, Vietnamese Community of Kentucky
BG Benjamin Adams - Commissioner, KY Dept. of Veterans Affairs
