STANFORD, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin says he'll be happy to sign a bill approving the use of medical marijuana after witnessing the death of a teenage nephew who had cancer.
Bevin told a community forum on Tuesday that his nephew was one of many people who could have been helped by marijuana. And he remarked that there is "incredible medicinal value associated with cannabis."
At the same time, the governor said he wouldn't budge on his opposition to legalizing recreational marijuana in Kentucky.
