BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- If you're looking for something spooky to get you into the Halloween spirit, tours are going on now through the night of October 31 in downtown Bowling Green.
A tour guide -- dressed for the occasion -- will lead you through areas of Fountain Square Park, and venture onto 10th Avenue, telling stories along the way.
"Unseen Bowling Green takes your family on a haunted adventure that you never knew existed in our downtown," says tour guide, Kara Williams Glenn.
According to Unseen BG's website, "The tour will disclose the dark and mysterious history rooted around our town."
"My favorite stop is the courthouse, because that has the most exciting history and most sad history that I think Bowling Green may have experienced other than the civil war," she adds.
Williams Glenn says the stories do include hearsay, but she's also put in a lot of research to make sure they're historically accurate.
"People are usually very surprised. They had no idea that these crazy misadventures had happened in our town," she adds.
Williams Glenn leads the tours, along with her husband, every Friday and Saturday in October beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Tours are also available on the Sunday night before Halloween, and on Halloween night itself.
