Hilltoppers take to the hill to celebrate Homecoming
Western Kentucky University alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends took to the hill today to celebrate homecoming.
The campus held a week's worth of activities to celebrate what some hilltoppers refer to as "the most exciting week of the school year."
Tailgating began early in the morning for the game against Charlotte.
WKU alum Emily Martin said the atmosphere felt a little different this year.
"This year feels a little bit different, I feel like we've stepped it up a little bit. Maybe the new President, Caboni, has helped out with that. But it feels like it's a little ramped up," said Martin.
The Tops did go on to defeat Charlotte with a final score of 45-14.
