UPDATE: BGPD say man in critical condition after accident on Scottsville Road Saturday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- UPDATE: 12:25 p.m., 3/18/19

Bowling Green Police have released the traffic collision report regarding the injury accident on Scottsville Rd. Saturday night.

Police say Dakota Holder, 21, was driving a Nissan down Scottsville Rd. in the left turn lane onto Shive Lane. She told police she did not see anything in the road when she got into the turn lane, but that all of a sudden she noticed a man standing in the road.

According to the report, the man had dark clothing/was not visible, and was not at an intersection.

Police were told she hit the brakes but by that time she had struck the man, identified as Gregory Dean, 50. He was unresponsive and taken to Skyline Hospital in Nashville. Police say he is in critical condition.

Bowling Green Police confirm there has been an injury collision on Scottsville Road near the Greenwood Mall.

According to their Twitter account, police are diverting traffic between Shive Lane/Cave Mill Road and Bryant Way.

We do not have any information on the number of vehicle(s) involved or the extent of any injuries at this time.
