Jennifer Marble's 2nd Grade Class

The JA Classroom of the Week is Jennifer Marble’s 2nd grade class at Rockfield Elementary School. Her class was led by JA Volunteer Donna Reece who is the Branch Manager at BB&T Bank Downtown Fountain Square. The 2nd grade Junior Achievement program is titled “JA Our Community” and it focuses on using posters and games to offer practical information about businesses and the many jobs those businesses offer in a community. Students explore production methods through a simulation game, and they learn about taxes, decision making, and how money flows in an economy. Donna’s favorite part of volunteering for JA is seeing the excitement from the children when she walks into the classroom. She also said, “It is always a pleasure to hear from Mrs. Marble when she asks me to teach her JA class each year. The students are all so smart and eager to learn! They all want to be involved and to participate in the program. Just make sure you are prepared for whatever comes your way, you never know what they are going to ask about.”
