Judge Buchanon wins re-election in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Unofficial results for the 2018 Midterm Election show Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon has won the race once again.

"This will be the 25th year this year," said Judge-Exec. Buchanon, talking about how long he's been in office.

"It's been very humbling and a great honor to represent the people of Warren County and to watch it grow over the years," he added.

Buchanon said this job has been a wonderful opportunity and he goes to work every day feeling like he's making a difference for 125,000 people.

"It makes you feel good," he said.

Buchanon said the biggest challenge Warren County is facing now is workforce development.

"We have to help companies to find the type of employees that they need," said Buchanon.

His opponent, Jimmie Duffer walked away with 8,966 votes which came out to 25% of the vote. Buchanon earned more than 26,000 votes, or 75% of the vote to keep his position as Judge-Exec.
